Dear all,
I'm considering getting a versa 2 but I'm a bit concerned about its water-resistant features.
I saw in other posts to be said that 'it is water-resistant but not waterproof'. Now, I am a bit confused. What is the difference?
My understanding is that you should be able to shower and swimm with the versa 2. Is this officially supported by Fitbit? In other words, does Fitbit clearly state that you can swimm and shower on a daily basis with the versa 2 without having any water related issues?
Thanks a lot!
Best

Yes, you can safely swim and shower with the Versa 2 - see the following help file for confirmation from fitbit: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1598/
The term "waterproof" is not used much these days and it's rare to see a company say that their product is waterproof. Instead, they use the term water resistant and give an indication of how water-resistant. For fitbits they say you can go up to 50m deep without a problem.

I dropped my Fitbit Versa 2 in Lake Gaston in an area about 12 ft. deep. I was able to dive down and find it about thirty minutes later. At first my watch kept glitching and losing track of the time. The screen would freeze randomly. About one month later there is no problem with it, works like it did new. I would not say that you should bring the watch with you in the pool, ocean, or lake, but I never had a problem when I brought it in the shower or when it got wet. I think the watch is fine in the pool, but avoid it if you can. Hope this is helpful!

I’ve had 2 Versas die after going for a swim so to be honest I don’t really trust they’re made for swimming despite the “waterproof” claims and all... just saying you might want to be careful since once the warranty expires you won’t get a replacement or your money back
