Swimming or washing dishes?

I chose the Fitbit Versa because I'm a swimmer, however for some reason, unlike the other activities I am unable to select swimming. It therefore guesses when I am swimming... 😑.

It usually logs my lengths pretty accurately, however it also logs every time I wash dishes as a period of swimming.

Please please please people of Fitbit, just let me tell it when I'm swimming?!

What happens when you try to select swimming @Aquatichick

If you like swimming, have you added this above the more?

@Aquatichick  if you have a Versa Lite, it does not track swimming.  It is waterproof, but it does not track swimming or count laps.

Sorry but your Versa Lite is not waterproof. It is water resistant.

If it doesn't track swimming , then why does it come with two different ways to track swimming. One of which is the swim mode.

Hi Rich and thanks for your assistance.

I am not sure which of your comment was a question.
I don't know why water resistant/water proof matters.

I have tried, more than once, to add swim to my list of activities.
I dream of the screen you've shown. (Although I'll forget to start it.)
But it doesn't seem to be an option for me! Is there something else I need to do?

@Aquatichick are you following the instructions on top of page 40 of your user manual? Or in help

I will be honest, I didn't spend much time with the manual, however, I do the same as the instructions on page 40 advise.

From the other help page you linked, I have cut & pasted the following: "HOW DO I TRACK SWIMS WITH MY FITBIT DEVICE?

Depending on your device, automatically track swims to capture pool lengths, duration, distance, and pace, or use the Exercise app to see real-time duration and other stats. "

Are you also using a Versa Lite?

Thanks for your help! 😄

Aren't you limited to 7 exercise shortcuts, and therefor would have to remove one to add swimming?

Not with the new update.

You can choose up to seven for quick access. The other 13 are accesses by tapping more.

If I tap on 'More' on the wrist piece, I get loads more, which is why it baffles me that swimming isn't listed.

Elliptical, Hike, Golf, Stair Climber, Tennis, Spinning, Yoga, Bootcamp, Circuit Training, Kickboxing, Martial Arts & Pilates.

And you're using a Versa? I have the original Versa and I do get swim option in the watch when I click more. It says at the bottom to use the mobile app to edit the options. Have you looked at the app too?

Also, you can turn off the setting for auto recognizing swimming in settings.

Maybe try live chat support option if both app and watch won't let you add swimming to shortcuts?

@Aquatichick you could always robe a short then use the add to add swimming.

I'm not sure howyou got those swim logs.

Rich, robe a short?

Way I understand it, swimming is being picked up by auto detect, but she doesn't have it in exercise shortcuts and it's not listed as an option to add on the watch itself.
