Swimming with my Versa

I just got my Versa for the main purpose that I could swim while wearing it.  I swam laps yesterday but it didn’t keep an accurate heart rate...it said it was way lower than the actual HR.  Any thoughts? I need to know whether I’m in fat burning or cardio mode but that won’t work if it’s inaccurate

Optical Heart Rate does not work well in water (because light travels differently through water ). So your Heart Rate reading will never be perfectly correct. To get the best possible result tighten the watch to reduce the amount of water behind the Heart Rate lights and sensor.
