Switching from Blaze to Versa: Not a Techie- Please need help from Fitbit users

Hi. I have been successfully using my Fitbit Blaze. It’s not functioning anymore.

I have been given a Versa as a gift that’s on its way.

can anyone (especially if you switched from Blaze to Versa)help me?

1). With the Fitbit App on my iPhone 6S+, how will the info that I have stored on the Blaze go to new Versa?

Womens tracking, sleep patterns gathered, etc....

2). How does the music work? I have purchased individual songs from apple iTunes and its on my phone as playlists and the Blaze automatically has them ... as well as any Pandora basic (I don’t pay for Pandora Premium service) ...

Is there a way to go from Blaze to the Versa?

3). Is the Versa hard to set-up?

4). Any positive feedback about the Versa?

And for those who switched from Blaze to Versa what you like?

Thanks so much

i look very forward to hearing back from you, Fitbit Community

Have a great Fitbit night!

I'll take the easiest one:

1. Other than any data that had not been synced when your Blaze quit, all your data is on the Fitbit computers under your account.  If you continue to use the same account/email, all your data will still be there and go together seamlessly without caring from which track it came.

Hi @Stephiemermaid

I agree with @JohnnyRow on the firat question. There shoukd be no problem at all.

2  Personal Music can only be downloaded from a laptop. You cant get it from your phone, and as far as I am aware (never had a Blaze) the Blaze didnt have music actually on it. If I am wrong about that then I know you cant move it to the Versa. If you want to use Pandora I believe you need a paid subscription. Basic unpaid wont work. I found the downloading process esy enough once I worked out how to do it. Here is a very good thread in the Ionic Forum on downloading music. I use what EricFitbit as my guideline to do it  Transferring Personal Music

3  My Versa was dead easy to set up, but I have only had the one experience.

4 LOVE my Versa. In my opinion itnis the best Fitbit, though the Inspire HR comes reasonably close, but of course is not a Smart Watch.

Adding to @NellyG ,  maybe the Blaze could control music played from your phone.

With the Versa, the idea is to store music on the Versa itself so it could be played without phone near.  You could still listen to music from your phone but I don't think the Versa can control it, though I have never tried that.

And to add music to the Versa, it must be done from the Windows 10 app, on laptop or desktop.

Yes, have to use computer to download music to Versa.  The procedure is described here:

How do I listen to music and podcasts on my Fitbit watch?
