Syncing, but it says it's not connected

My fitibit syncs no problem to my android phone (s9). But when I go to play music, it says ""connect phone pair your phone in settings app under bluetooth". Well it is paired, its syncing and it says paired in my phone. I am only having this issue when trying to use the music controls. Everything else works fine.

Also, Ive tried disconnecting and then pairing again, multiple times. Phone and versa are updated, and I have reset my phone a couple times as well.

On you Versa, when you go to Settings/Bluetooth, make sure that Music Via Bluetooth is On.

Maybe pair from there.

Your versa syncs through the Bluetooth lite. Music connects to the Versa Classic. These are independent channels. So yes the tracker will sync without BT classic connected. 

Let's open the phones BT and on the Versa set the BT to visible. Now through the phone tap, confirm on the Versa then the phone. 

Start a music or video app on the phone, then hold in the left button to bring up music control. You may have to change the controls to the phone rather than internal music.

This doesnt work for me. I've tried multiple music apps and even played
music directly from file explorer on my phone and the versa is saying it's
not connected still
