Syncing not working possibly after wifi lost?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Scenario:

Motorola Z2 Play phone with Android 8.0

Fitbit Versa on version 32.33.1.30.

It seems like when I'm home and I've established that syncing to my phone is working, all is well.. syncing seems to break when I leave the house and get out of WiFi range, but not always. Hard to pin down..

Example:

Syncing was working fine yesterday morning, took my dog to the park around 10am, came home around 12:30pm, and the last time my phone synced with my Fitbit was 1:03pm yesterday. Today when I woke up I had to turn off Bluetooth and re-enable it.

My $70 Amazfit Bit was so accurate with it's notifications. NEVER a problem syncing with that watch. I don't understand how a larger company that's been in the smartwatch business for years can not figure out how to keep sync working on their hottest, most popular watch.

Hi, the syncing process between your Versa and your Phone goes via Bluetooth. Once you're way out of BT range, it cannot sync. To solve this problem, either tap the icon watch on top of the screen on the right side, scroll down to under the tiles (Clock, Apps, etc) and press sync. The other option is to enable Continuous Syncing direct underneath the "Sync now" manual method and aslo enable "Always connected" on the bootom of the same screen. Restart after that your Versa.

My phone is never out of range of my Fitbit when this happens.. and the only way to fix the issue is to disable and re-enable my Bluetooth and/or reboot my phone.

They need to fix the accuracy the syncing. Like I said, never had such problems with my Flex 2.

Hi, try 2 things:

1. Restart your Versa multiple times by pressing and holding the left and right lower buttons together untill the Fitbit logo shows and release the buttons.

2. Close and deinstall the Fitbit app on your phone. Do not remove or unpair your Versa. Restart your phone and reinstall Fitbit app again and, of course, enable BT.
