Taking Versa 2 back to third party buyer

Hi, I recently bought a Versa 2 watch from a third party buyer and it’s been nothing but trouble since I got it. I have decided to take it back and get a refund but I do not want it linked to my account anymore, a full refresh if you will, like it hasn’t been used. I noted in the settings that you can delete the account but that you can also unlink it from my iPhone. Which one is best to do first? If I do choose one of those options, does it cancel out the other?

Hi @RhianJ  if you want to clear the device of all your information first, click for directions. You'll want to remove the device from your phone and from your account. Continuing with Fitbit? Then don't delete the account because it would also remove all your history. To be sure I'm absolutely right on this, I've asked a Fitbit Moderator to stop by to address this.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Odyssey13. Thank you for sharing your Versa 2 inquiry.

As @Odyssey13 mentioned, if you would like to keep your Fitbit account, you shouldn't delete it. If you want to remove the device from your phone and delete the account I would recommend removing the device from your phone and then deleting the account.

Thank you for the heads up @Odyssey13

Have a nice day!
