The battery of my Versa is lasting less than 2 days

I've been having alot of issues with my Versa. One of which is battery life of only 27 hours. I was told to charge phone and record syncs, still charge lasted only 27 hours. NOW Support says to charge for at least 2 hours even if watch reads 100%. Hopefully this info is helpful to someone.

I clean my contacts often and don’t notice a difference. I am frustrated like you with the battery life and I don’t even use music, track exercise in it, or use any outside apps (other than paying for my Starbucks twice a week. Every other day I need to recharge.

So how do I know whether a watch face is a battery drainer or not?

I purchased my Versa three months ago. It worked perfectly, and battery life was 5-6 days. I noticed one day that my Versa was no longer notifying me of incoming texts/calls.  I read upon it and ended up taking the device off the app and resetting it up.  After that, my Versa battery was low, so I put it on the charger. It will not even keep the charge for a day!   I had not changed things on the phone at all to make the battery drain.  Any suggestions? Very disappointed that this happened all of a sudden as I really like the product.  I put it on this morning at 6:30 and it’s already down to 88%. Should I contact customer support?

Thank you in advance,

If you figure that out let me know. My Versa was a gift because of the features specifically the long battery life, the ability to download music and to get read text messages from my phone. It is simply a decorative watch at this point because if I ask it to do the simple things I want it to do, that it was advertised to be able to do, it spends more time on the charger than on my wrist. So an expensive piece of technology that doesn't live up to what it's supposed to be able to do. If you are able to return it, race back to the store and go with another brand!!!!@

I purchased the Versa on Black Friday 2018. My Versa is also not holding a charge. I have charged it to 100% the past two nights.  Yesterday, it lasted until around 2 pm and today, not even to 9:30am.

I have read the tips from above and I use only an interactive clock and 2 alarms throughout the day.  EVERYTHING else mentioned is off.  I do not use music.  My Versa has NEVER synced to my wifi. I have tried and tried.  It also took multiple tries to get it to sync to just activate...it took almost two full weeks of daily attempts.  There was an update within the week of setting it up.  I have tried repeatedly to update it, on the charger next to my phone.  This is incredibly inconvenient as it takes hours and then doesn't complete.

If your product is going to offer ALL of these options/functions, shouldn't it be able to support them?  The fix of "don't use the product to save battery" doesn't seem like a reasonable solution. I paid extra for the product with fancier options. I should be able to use it.

Hi, regarding connecting your Versa to your WiFi, the following steps might be usefull:

1. In order to connect your Versa to WiFi, it has to be in the carger and connected to your computer

2. For certainty also connect your phone to your Computer

3. Go on your phone to WiFi settings and click it.

4. You should see the name of your home's network with right next to it the WiFi icon which is white.

5. Press the WiFi icon and Fitbit starts connecting to your WiFi network. Once established, the icon turns to blue and it says connected.

6. To check whether your Versa is also connected to WiFi, go to settings on your Versa, press it, scroll down to "device info" and press that also. If you see an IP address there, your Versa is connected to WiFi. Remember that the Versa will only stay connected to your WiFi as long as it's in the charger and connected to your computer. That's the result of the fact that the Versa itself does not has WiFi but uses your computer and phone as a bridge to connect to your WiFi network. good luck!!

Connecting the Versa Charger and my phone to my computer did nothing to set up wifi.  However, later that evening as I went to bed, I set it to update and that actually went through (Both on charger, of course, but into a wall plug-in charger.)

It is STILL losing battery charge within hours of a 100% charge.

Read back through the messages some tell of a way to contact Support through the app.

I charge mine on the Fitbit charge and a normal not rapid charger bugged into a surge protector with no problem. It doesn't stay charged and it won't stay connected to the bluetooth. Good luck to you

I tried all the tips I found here. The battery still wouldn't hold a charge.  I contacted Customer Support. Alfie checked the battery history and found that with the Firmware update, it should be working.  It is not.  I filled out the report and they will be replacing my Versa.

So, basically, what you are saying is to turn off everything that makes the watch useful?

Yup! That’s what they told me on the customer service phone call I made. I asked why did I pay all the money for features I cannot use? Answer: you can. The battery will just go down quickly!!! 🤔

that's awesome that you were able to return and get a functioning product!

I bought mine through fitbit.

Big mistake.

Just days after the 45 day return window is when mine stopped holding a charge.

Their customer service is a joke.  They won't replace it.

They've lost a five plus year avid customer (I've bought nearly ten devices, for friends and family members, and myself) who now is focused on telling the world how Fitbit is a sad joke.

Wow so turn all these things off, what’s the point? I can’t check heart rate, get notifications and have to tap watch to see time.  I keep a charge as long as I don’t receive notifications.....
