The microphone on my Versa 2 is no longer working

Hello. I love my versa 2, but the microphone has stopped working. It does not work for alexa, it also does not work for other functions like replying to a text message. I have tried disabling and re-enabling the microphone. I have tried restarting the watch. I have made sure everything is updated and restarted. Any other advice? Could it be just an issue with the microphone? Thank you so much!

Hi there, @Scarrillo. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 2 before reaching out. 

Please note the microphone in your watch only turns on when you’re using a feature that requires your voice, such as a voice assistant. The microphone turns off when the voice assistant responds, when you close the voice assistant, or when your watch’s screen turns off.

In addition to the steps you tried, please follow the steps below:

  1. On the Fitbit app, tap on your profile's icon > Versa 2 > Amazon Alexa and log out.
  2. On your phone's settings tap on Apps > Fitbit > Storage > Clear Cache.
  3. Go back one screen and tap on force stop.
  4. Uninstall and reinstall the Fitbit app.
  5. Reboot your phone.

Hi and thank you so much for your reply.  I followed all of those steps and the microphone is still not working.  I'm wondering if it is not just an Alexa issues, since the microphone does not work for other functions as well.  I have used it in the past, so I know it used to work for Alexa as well as for replying to texts.  Any other ideas?  Thank you!!
