I'm so fed up with this. After the update in january the HR of my fitbit versa 2 is all over the place. I work out 5-6x a week and never had these problems in the last 2 years having a fitbit. I'm starting my workout and the HR won't even go over 110bpm the first minutes. Then it goes fairly well and when I'm doing an intense workout it all of the sudden drops from 160bmp to 113bmp. Never in my entire time working out has my HR been so low when doing high intensity jumping. Then it stays so low for a few minutes while I'm breathing hard and my heart is pounding. The result is that I'm at least burning almost 100 calories less than more than a month ago for the same workout!
Yesterday I decided to use my moms fitbit togheter with mine. My mom has the exact same fitbit, purchased a week apart. Difference? My mom didn't do the january update. Turns out that when my fitbit drops to below 120bmp my moms fitbit stays up high around 155bmp. Then when I'm resting my HR goes all the way up! This is so wrong! You have almost an entire forum who all of the sudden has problems with HR, syncing, sleep tracking after the update and you guys don't own up to the fact that there is obviously an errow in your update. No it's all our fault because apparently we don't know how to wear a fitbit and how to take care of it! At least ackownledge there is a issue going on and try to fix it instead of ignoring or problems. My versa 2 isn't even a year old! If this isn't solved in the next few weeks then I'm done with fitbit.

Seems like this is quite a common issue. following the recent updates, as it was working fine before.
In which case its probably best to inform Fitbit Support directly. They may be able to help you or replace it.
