Today app won't load on my Versa 3

Hello, does anyone know why the Today app on my Fitbit versa 3 isn’t working? When it’s selected it just brings “today” up as though it’s going to load but then goes back to my screen to select an app. I can see all my stats on my iPhone Fitbit app and I can see them by swiping up on my Fitbit but I just can’t see them through clicking the app as I always have. I’ve tried restarting numerous times, on charge and not on charge. Any help appreciated.

Hi there, @Ellie0696  Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that the Today app is still not loading on your Versa 3. I will do my best to help you with this!

If you haven't done so yet, please try the steps below:

  1. From the Today tab in the Fitbit app, tap the devices icon at the top-left corner.
  2. Tap your Fitbit device image.
  3. Near the bottom of the page, tap Sync Now.

If the above doesn't work, please restart your Fitbit device once again as suggested here How do I restart my Fitbit device? Note: Restarting the device doesn’t delete any data. If the restart doesn't work try to change your clock face. If this fixes the issue, you can change your clock face back to the original clock face.

Hi Marre,

thank you for responding. I have tried all of the above and it still will not load. I can still view all of my stats by swiping up, so it’s not as though the stats are completely lost and the data is also pushing over to my Fitbit app on my phone, it’s just that it will not allow me to see them via the today app on the watch itself. I have also tried to uninstall the today app and reinstall but for some reason that option is greyed out on my Fitbit app so won’t allow me to do so. everything else seems to be working perfectly normal, if I click Spotify that loads up, the weather, settings etc all load as expected aside from “today”

@Ellie0696 Thanks for getting back and confirming that you've tried those steps.

As our last resort, I'd recommend trying another factory reset by following the steps below:

  1. Don’t plug the Fitbit device into the charging cable.
  2. Press and hold the button for about 8 seconds until the screen turns off.
  3. After the screen turns off, you’ll feel a short vibration:
    1. When you feel the vibration, release the button and immediately press and hold the button again.
    2. Wait until the blue logo appears, then disappears:
      1. Immediately release the button and then immediately press and hold it .again, until you feel a vibration.
      2. After you feel the vibration, release the button.
        • This vibration indicates you started the factory reset.
        • After the Fitbit logo appears, the Fitbit device shows the image with the phone icon and setup indicator.

Take into consideration that a factory reset deletes any stored data, which includes all data that hasn't synced to your Fitbit account, your applications, alarms, etc.

Thank you for the above, I have tried to follow the steps exactly as wrote but it will not reset, I’m awaiting for the vibrations as stated but all it does is turn off the watch and turn it back on again. Even after the short vibration. I will keep trying this but I am at a loss at the moment.

@Ellie0696 Since all the steps you tried didn't work, you have a Versa 3 and report that the Today app is not loading, I need additional information from you that would best be shared privately. I’m sharing a link to a form for you to fill out so we can look into this further.

This form is only meant for you to use, so let me know once you’re done. Click here to get access to it.
