I went for a long trek a few days back and was surprised to find out the burned calorie count topped out at 8,710. Why isn't it unlimited and why would it stop tracking them?
Is there a setting to undo any maximum limits?
Also, is there a way to offset the reduction of steps/distance/"stairs" when hiking with trekking poles? It's uncanny to have an 8,000 foot elevation gain but only record 100ish stairs. Part of the issue, I'm sure, is that you take more steps than your arm/wrist correspondingly swings. However, has anyone found a workaround for this?
Thanks!
