So this is really odd, it started happening about a month ago and I was trying to figure out why sometimes the screen will work and sometimes it doesn't. I start the day by putting the watch on and checking to see if the screen works and it does in the morning, but after I get to work I check it again and I'll press the button to light up the screen and tap it and the screen turns off.
Now I've had it off for a while and the screen is working right so I had an idea, what if the screen doesn't work when its touching me? I put a finger on the charging contacts and try the screen again; It doesn't work. Take my finger off and wow it's working.
When it first started happening I went through this forum and tried every fix suggested and nothing worked, I had just about given up but now that I know what is causing the problem I should be able to send it back for a replacement right?

I'm having trouble understanding what you are describing. At work, you press the button and the screen lights up, then you tap the screen and the light goes off. Is that right?
If you have the screen on and want it on, why tap it again?
Are you always turning on the screen by pressing the button rather than by wrist turn?

Sorry for the misunderstanding, I have the PIN enabled so I tap the screen to put in the code, it'll flash on the screen for a split second then it turns the screen off. I turn the screen on with every way possible whichever I feel like at the moment.
I'd like to use the timer function as it would be helpful for me so that's why using the touchscreen is important.

Are you saying you have to enter the PIN, just to see the time? Is this the Fitbit Pay PIN?

No the normal pin just to unlock it after putting it on, I can see the time and all the stats on the clock face but when I tap it (if I wanted to start a timer or something) the PIN screen shows up and I'll try to press the first number, the screen would turn itself off like if I was pressing the side button.
Sometimes I don't even make it to the PIN screen, it stays on the clockface and I won't be able to swipe left or do anything.

I kind of get it now. I have the 'Device Lock' set differently than you do so I wasn't seeing it.
With 'Device Lock' set to 'Enabled', you have to re-enter the PIN after any time you have take to tracker off, or at least every 24 hours. That might explain why it acts differently when you first put it on in the morning.
I have 'Device Lock' set to 'Enabled for PIN only' so I only have to enter the PIN when I go to use Fitbit Pay.
Here is the Help section that talks about Device Lock:
How do I use the device lock on my Fitbit device?
I see device lock Enabled as you have it is recommended by Fitbit, I guess as security so it will be no use to anyone else if you lose it or get it stolen. Bit it seems to me maybe more trouble than it's worth, though I have no really given it even use to judge.
I probably have not exactly answered your question but hopefully you can figure it out from knowing what area to look at now.
