Track exercise shows map but no distance?

 I went for over an 8km walk the other day (I can tell the total distance by the km split info shown when I click on the exercise) however you’ll see at the top the total distance and total pace are not displaying either when I open the activity or the summary of the activity. This has happened a few times now, I track the exercise using either my phone or my watch with the Fitbit app open and sometimes it does this, sometimes it doesn’t. Anyone else experienced this and can suggest how to correct it please? Thank you
