Hi - I recently purchased (June 2018) a Fitbit Versa.  I have read community questions and responses and I just want to confirm that there is no way to track an open water swim distance with the Versa?

Yes, currently there is no way to do open water swimming on any Fitbit device... yet. 🤞

Get a Suunto - on wrist HR and GPS for open water swim. Obviously not as accurate as running GPS but gets the job done. I only use fitbit for social features with family and friends. Once you go Suunto or Garmin you'll never go back. Suunto Trainer HR is great deal!

Thank you for sending the link. I read the information previously when
researching open water swim tracking and, based on the info and community
posts, have learned that versa does not track open water swims.

Other than this one glitch I am enjoying my Versa.

I'm glad this has been resolved. Hopefully Fitbit adds Open Water swimming sometime in the future.

I have an ionic, useless for seaswim, shame because i cancelled pool membership due to Covid-19, however i can sea swim 5km from home. I never know my distance. I'll l have to look beyond fitbit for a tracker  but I'm not spending another 200euro, more gadgets more hassle, up your game fitbit!!
