Question for those who use a stationary bike,
Do you count your spinning as steps?
For example put your Fitbit on your ankle or wave you arm along?
I got a under the desk spinner and i was just wonder if people thought it would be “cheating” to move my arm along to try to count some steps for spinning?

Well yes - it is not tracking the spinning, is it? Why not use the workout mode and edit it to spinning afterwards? Or manually enter the Spinning on the app?

You should use the Spinning Exercise Shortcut. It will calculate the total time, miles (I don’t think this is accurate), the time in the various heart rate zones, and in the “Impact on Your Day” section, it tells how many steps it counted, how many calories you burned and how many active minutes you received. Leave your Versa on your wrist and no arm movement required!

One problem - there is no spinning app on my Versa. I've been down every setting on the exercise apps and no spinning to be found. It appears a Versa will NOT keep track of a stationary bike.

DrZeus. I am in the same boat. How does one set up the Versa 2 for spinning?

Go into the Fitbit app. Click your account picture top left. Click your versa. Scroll down to exercise shortcuts and tap that. Hit the + button top right and look for spinning. Click to add. If you already have 7 shortcuts, something would have to be deleted.

DrZeus, MM is correct. I am using the Windows 10 version of the app. A couple small navigation issues. (I did the same thing on my wife's android version of the app and it worked fine).
Click on the "credit card" looking icon.
Click on the "Versa 2" label (I have a versa 2. I can only assume it is the same for all)
On the right side of the screen, scroll down and click on "Exercise Shortcuts"
There are probably 7 showing, from the factory. [There are only room for 7]
Get ride of one or more (garbage can to the right) that you will not use.
You'll see a note at the bottom that you can add as many as you have deleted.
Click on the link. You will see that Spinning is one that you can add.
To move it up the food chain, click, hold and drag to the top of the list.
Hope this helps. Thanks MM

You're welcome, Suggy. Glad you were able to get set up.
