Transferring music is taking too much time

I'm trying to sync my music into my new Versa. I have about 150 songs and it is estimating 3 hours to transfer! I have high speed internet, so I know it is not my internet speed. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Could you please tell me what are you using to download your music, a computer or your phone? Are you trying to download a personal list or a list from Deezer or Pandora?

I recommend verifying that the WiFi connection is good and that your Versa is near to the router. Also check the Why can't I download music and podcasts to my Fitbit watch? and How do I listen to music and podcasts on my Fitbit watch? articles.

I just want to second this concern.

I am using excellent wifi, less than 25 feet from the router, using my computer. It said it was going to take an hour to download one 17 song playlist.

As I only had 30-40 minutes to spare at the time, I had to cancel the download.

I am trying to download a personal playlist off my computer. I checked my wifi  and it was a good connection. My versa was also in the same room as my router, within feet.

I transferred 92 songs from my Mac to my Versa which took 1 hour with the Versa sat next to the router. This was a total of 675 Mega Bytes, so 675 x 8 is 5,400 Mega bits, 60 minutes is 3600 seconds so data transfer rate was 1.5 Mega bits a second.

The limiting factor here is the Fitbit Versa either its wifi speed, processor speed or storage write speed its certainly not my Mac or router, I can transfer the same data in under a minute to another device on my network. 

It would be interesting for Fitbit to tell us what data rate we should expect from the Versa on wifi.

I uploaded 84 songs from my computer. It took 6 hours!!!
