Traveling internationally: wi-fi and time zone changes

I read in the Versa manual that certain wi-fi networks will not let the Versa connect to my iPhone Fitbit app, apparently because they require logins, etc. So, when I land in another country in a different time zone, how can i be sure that my Versa can connect to my iPhone and make the time zone change on the Versa?

If you use the wifi in your hotel room most will only require you to sign in once and will then remember the connection. You could also purchase a small amount of international data and only turn on the data to sync and then turn it off.

I travel to Europe every year and have never had a problem.

A normal sync will require the cell phone to have access to the internet. This should not be a problem with the rooms wifi.
