Tried all the obvious solutions, but I can't even start up new Versa Lite. GAH!

Super-frustrated over here/ .... I cannot even start up my new Versa lite.

The app says "no device found," over and over,

The watch itself never gets off the initial logo screen that says "The start, download the Fitbit app" in several languages.

I've tried all the obvious things, I think: deleting the app and re-intalling the app; shutting off Bluetooth and restarting Bluetooth; attempting to do the start up via the Bluetooth for Mac app on my laptop; making sure there are no other Fitbit devices -- or Bluetooth devices of any kinds -- within range. Etc.

Can anyone help me, please?

thanks!

Ok, thanks for confirming that. It sounds as if it may be defective. Can you return it to the store you bought it for a replacement? If not then contact Support

Hi @Bonacker Try restarting your Lite several times and then try setting up again. What phone are you using?

I have done the "hold down the back button" restart several times. No help.
It never gets beyond the "To get started, download the app" flashing
start-up screen (the one in several language) ....When I hold down the back
button to restart, it just returns to that "download the app" prompt. Never
gets to an actual screen where the device is on and functioning. I'm on a
iPhone and, yes, I've checked to make sure my iPhone operating system is up
to date, as well.
