Just received and set up the Versa 2. I want to set up the SP02 sensor, as that's one of the main reasons I upgraded to the Versa 2 from my current Charge 2. Looking in the app store, I'm unable to download the Sp02 clock face - I see an error message telling me to make sure that my app and watch are both up to date. The problem is, they are. I checked for a firmware update for the Versa 2 and double-checked that the app version in iOS is the same one I have installed. They both appear to be the latest version, yet I'm still unable to download this clock face. How do I get past this?

Hi @SunsetRunner Thanks for the feedback.
The SpO2 clock face only shows the one averaged [over the night] Oxygen level reading and the range, so it is not necessary to use that clock face during the day. It leaves you the option to switch to a more preferred clock face during the day.
Also note, using the SpO2 clock face reduces the time between charges by about 2 days but you do get your Oxygen levels each night.
Possibly as it requires the results of calculations to be downloaded from the Fitbit servers [takes a while] allowing on the spot readings might overload the servers from the extra calculations and also would reduce the battery life even further, if used frequently.

You possibly used up all five available slots for your clock faces?

Nope - it was straight out of the box, only one (now two) clock faces used.

@SunsetRunnerHave seen posts on here that you may not have the latest Firmware after set up, and should receive an update notification within a couple Days.

That's what I thought too, but after going in the Fitbit app and clicking 'check for Versa update' it came back that my firmware is up to date. It's 35.70.714 in the watch face and 70.7.14 in the app.

Ah, so it doesn't look like I'm on the newest version of the firmware after all. I guess I'll wait! Odd that a brand new device doesn't come preloaded with the latest firmware, but ah well.

Versa 2's have been around a while. While you're watch is brand new, it was likely manufactured and packed before the newer Firmwares came out.

Its normal that the watch comes with the version as of time of manufacture, whats not normal is that the setup which loads the firmware did not load the latest version.
Just to be sure when you set it up did it go through the loading of the firmware stage, or did it fail? It takes 10 minutes or so.
It would be interesting to know how you got the watch started with this old version because the previous version to the current 35.72.1.9 was 35.71.6.19, and you didn't get that version either.

@Guy_ I don't think it went through the loading of firmware at all! The whole setup only took a few minutes, but there wasn't anything either in the watch face or in the app that indicated anything had failed.
I'm also checking for firmware updates within the Fitbit app and it's coming back saying that the device is up to date.

I was able to get the latest firmware (I think -- to be honest, i'm not altogether sure -- the versions numbers are confusing) by doing a complete factory reset. This seemed to trigger a very long download and update. Warning: this nukes all of your data.

Sleep to update
Hoping that maybe it figures itself out after a bit. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@isaiah.carewYou need 3 days sleep for it to show.
@SunsetRunnerYou may be able to resolve the issue now by removing the watch from the Fitbit app and adding it again, or simply wait till the update comes your way.
If you want to be sure to get it urgently, a factory reset, removing it and adding it will work too, but if its working otherwise its probably best to wait.
The check for update in the Help & Support doesn't do anything, it always returns up to date. Quite why its there is baffling.

I'll try removing and re-adding the device, and if that doesn't work I guess I'll wait... ? I only have a day's worth of data so far so it wouldn't be the worst thing to reset it, but it would be annoying. The Sp02 tracking was a major reason for the upgrade and it's incredibly annoying that I now have to wait several days/weeks for this issue to resolve itself.
Honestly requiring a particular watch face to utilize this feature is terrible UX.

Hi, @SunsetRunner
SpO2 is a bit confusing.
You should already see in your Fitbit App sleep information an Estimated Oxygen Variation graph, its available from all Ionic, Versa and Sense watches after a good night's sleep and is evaluated from the builtin SpO2 sensor on the watches that have one. This was enabled not so long ago.
It's available to all users I believe.
The SpO2 clock face, and premium users' Health Metric tile in the app, also displays a single Oxygen level calculated from the night's sleep.
For now neither the SpO2 clock face nor the Health metric tile are able to show current on the spot Oxygen levels.
So may be you won't be getting what you expect from loading the SpO2 clock face.

Hey @Guy_ thanks for your detailed and helpful response!
The issue did resolve itself after a few days, my device finally had the update pushed to it and I was able to download the SpO2 clock face. Now everything is working as expected, which I'm pretty pleased with.
I do think it's silly to require a particular clock face instead of showing the metric in the app to all users, and I wonder how long it's going to take Fitbit to enable on-demand reading of O2 levels. Since the functionality exists in the Versa 2 and other trackers, I'm not fully understanding why it isn't available as a feature yet. Hopefully soon!
