So annoyed I have just replaced my blaze with a versa and set it all up with my phone and then trying to set up with my iPod too so I can control it with my zumba classes and it says connection fail when adding a new audio device... I have tried all the restarting devices and turning off bluetooth on phone ect but it's just not connecting.. I set it up on my iPod and it was fine so I know that it can connect but as an audio device it just doesn't work and that is what I need it for! Sadly returning tomorrow x

Hello @Trinatatli, thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

Thanks for your participation in the Forums and for sharing your experience with us. Please keep in mind that your iPhone and iPod can sync with your Fitbit Versa through the Fitbit app and you can use your Versa to control the music playing on your iPhone or iPod with Music Control. However, when we mention the Versa can connect with audio devices, it means it can be used with output audio devices such as wireless headphones or wireless speakers to listen to playlists on your watch

I hope this resolves your inquiry, thanks for your patience and understanding. If there's anything else we can do for you, please feel free to reply.

Hi 👋 no I didn’t find one it just didn’t like being connected to to my phone and iPod at the same time! The blaze has no problem I could control music from that but then it would still be ok with calls and texts from my samsung! In the end I got an iPhone and an Apple Watch so there was no probs with my Zumba classes. Shame really as I liked the Versa. X

You can only connect the Versa to output devices such as bluetooth headphones or speakers, you cannot hook it up to an ipod.  However, you can use bluetooth classic from your phone to play and control the music that is playing either through headphones or the phone.

Are you trying to connect the Versa directly to your iPod to listen to music? If so....I think that doesn’t work because you need headphones in order to hear the music....i.e., Versa connects to headphones, and headphones connect to the iPod. BUT....I haven’t actually done this myself, so I’m not sure. I do have my Versa connected to the FitBit app via my iPod and it works perfectly...but I know headphones will be needed in order to listen to music; I just don’t have any yet.

Well with mine I used my Samsung phone as the main device and then wanted my iPod to work through it too like it did on the blaze for music so I could skip songs etc when the music was playing it was so simple you just looked for the iPod through the Bluetooth on the blaze but trying it on the Versa it just didn’t happen. It just wanted one device which if I was using my Samsung phone for my classes it was ok but I needed my iPod and it just wouldn’t have 2 on there sadly 🤔 or if I just used my new iPhone it would have been ok. I installed the iPod as the main device and it worked but then couldn’t get notifications like calls and texts etc x

Hi,

had the same issue with my Ipod.  Could not get it to pair.  I then went to the app and went into the account (top right on the app).  Selected by Versa device and setup "all Day synch".  This paired the Versa with my Ipod. and I was able to control songs using the Versa.  I went back and change All Day Synch to off and I'm still good.

If you have an iPod that allows you to download apps on to it....load the fitbit app...login...find your fitbit...enable allay sync...start a song on your iPod...hold the home button on your fitbit and ship right...the music controls should come up and allow you to control the iPod....just did this with my wife's Versa and it worked like a champ.  Hope it helps..cheers!
