Unable to add state to Fitbit Pay

Is anyone having trouble adding their state to fitbit pay, like the app not accepting the state in the pay wallet information,  TIA

Hi @Almilkins. It's good to see you here in the Community forums and I'm sorry for the delayed response.

 

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. While it's odd that you're not able to enter your state, do you recall to have received an error message? May I know your phone's model and OS version? Also, if possible, please take a screenshot and share it in your reply so I can take a deeper look. For instructions to attach files, check this post.

 

In the meantime, I'd recommend the following steps:

  1. Log out from the Fitbit app.
  2. Verify if the Fitbit app is updated to the latest version. See this link.
  3. Force stop the Fitbit app.
  4. Reboot your phone.
  5. Open the Fitbit app and log back into your account.
  6. Try setting up Fitbit Pay one more time. For detailed instructions, check this help article.

Sorry, I never seen this answer.  I had talked to FITBIT about this, after being on the phone for 45 minutes we still couldn't get it fixed . He was going to send it up the chain & I have heard nothing back. The only reason I'm seeing your response is because I'm trying to get the wifi on my Versa 2 , most days it works & all of a sudden it quite getting me my notifications and now I see the wifi isn't connecting, it doesn't always sync. I'm so not impressed with this versa 2 , very frustrating.

Thanks for getting back and sharing that you also contacted our Support team before. I see where you're coming from and I'm sorry that you've had this experience with your Versa 2. I'll help you out with your inquiries. Because your Versa 2 isn't syncing consistently, it might be affecting the notifications and WiFi connection. Just to confirm, have you tried the troubleshooting tips from this help article? If so, I'd recommend to reconnect your watch to the Fitbit app:

  1. Go to the Bluetooth settings and unpair your Versa 2 from the list.
  2. Turn off the Bluetooth from any other device, such as phones, tablets or computers that aren't in use.
  3. Reboot your phone and restart your watch.
  4. Open the Fitbit app, tap your profile picture > Set Up a Device.
  5. Choose your Versa 2 and tap on replace device. Follow the onscreen instruction until your watch has synced.

Once that is completed, set up the notifications and try connecting your watch to the WiFi one more time.

Hi! Thanks for responding. I have done the things you suggested. My Fitbit has been syncing for two days. Yay!! I still would like to use my wallet tho. Also when I open up About in my settings it constantly says wifi is off, but I guess that doesn't affect the syncing because its syncing now and it still says off.

Thanks for your efforts in trying the steps from my post and I'm glad your Versa 2 has been syncing correctly in the last days. About the wallet, do you mean that the Fitbit app is still not allowing you to enter your state? If so, please provide me with the model and OS version of your phone. Additionally, take a screenshot of the issue and attach it to your reply, as well provide me 

In regards to the WiFi, does this happen even when your watch is plugged into the charging cradle? I'm asking this as your watch will connect to the WiFi as long as it's plugged in and within plugging your watch into the charging cradle. You can find troubleshooting tips to connect your watch to the WiFi in this help article.
