Unable to change bands on Versa.

I have the versa watch with the woven wristband.  It also came with an extra standard band.  I have no problem reattaching the woven band but I am unable to attach the other band (I think it is made of rubber).  It seems like it is too big for the slot on the watch.  Has anyone else had this problem?  Thanks!

So I got it. It is all about the angle. It has to be at a certain angle or it will not go in. Tore the skin between my fingernail and skin on both of my thumbs trying to do it. Not a good design.

Hi and thank you.  I can't send a picture of the extra band at this time.  it is a black rubber band that came as an extra band when I ordered the special edition versa with a purple woven band.  I have no problem reconnecting the woven band, however, the ends of the black band appear to be slightly thicker that the woven band and will not fit into the slot.  I watched the video and still had the problem.

Thank you for your help!

I am still unable to attach. The pins are the right size but the ends of the rubber band are too thick for the slot

I had the same problem when trying to attach the rubber watchband and discovered it had be be angled downward a little bit to allow the pins to click in. I believe this is due to the stiffness of the neoprene/rubber compared to the fabric. I had the same problem with a replacement band but once again with a little downward angle the pins clicked right in. Hope this helps.

I am currently having this problem! Can not believe how difficult they are to swap. I have just bought 4 spares with the intention of swapping to match outfits! That won’t be happening. (The rubber ones are the worst to change)

Thanks for the feedback!  I wasted way too much time trying to put the rubber one on.

Agree, the silicone watch bands for the Versa 2 are unnecessarily hard to change.

There is a video by another fitbit community member recommended that I thought was helpul..they too also mention that it has to be at an angle.

Took forever to get it right.  If you have a manicure you care about - that is not the right time to change the band.

I have bought 3rd party vendor replacement bands and they are so much easier to swap out..I just worry about reliability that they stay on & secure.

To be honest since the Fitbit manufactured silicone bands are so difficult to swap out it is also a concern that its not snapped in all the way..and could come undone and I will be very disappointed if I lose/damage the face due to difficulty changing the bands.

I hope Fitbit addresses this with future silcone bands.

I agree with the people who found it hard. Especially the rubber bands can seem near impossible if you come in flat.

The trick is, you have to come in at a near vertical angle, almost 90 degrees. Which feels illogical when you're looking at it and thinking "Hmm, how should I put this in here?"

Basically, you have to come in at the same angle the strap goes when it's on your wrist. If you try to come in flat, which can easily seem like a logical way to do it, you will be met by frustration and failure.
