Unable to download music on Versa 2

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I walked in a few days ago into Costco and then looked at my Charge 2 - it was stuck on a number of steps from the past - and several minutes I walked out with a Versa 2!

Everything's cool. Except for one thing. It won't upload any music to it.

I've been working in IT for many years and I'm pretty sure I'm doing everything right, Wi-Fi is the right security type, plus the Fitbit App can see it, it syncs with no problems, but when I try to upload...

The Versa does say "use your computer to start transferring music".

But the computer just says "looking for your watch"... forever...

I tried both at home and work, no result.

I'm thinking about returning this thing... But I hope someone will be able to help me.

And by the way, which Windows App should I be using? Some manuals tell me to use the latest one, from Microsoft Store, others - the Fitbit Connect. For now the result in both is the same.

Did anyone have a similar problem and found a solution?

Hi @Adaminion, welcome to the Community Forums, it's a pleasure for me to help you today.

Thanks for the details that were shared and for trying some troubleshooting steps before posting over here, I can understand your frustration with this matter. First, I'd like to recommend you to check the information that's specified on our help article: How do I listen to music and podcasts on my Fitbit watch? for you to check that everything is correctly setup in your account to download music on your Versa 2. Then, you can try the troubleshooting steps that are specified on this help article and let me know if the issue persists.

I'll be around if further assistance is needed.

Thank you Ricardo. I had  already tried these links but wanted to double check. I've just finished.

The problem has something to do with Wi-Fi stability. Wi-Fi works, the tracker's connected, as long as nothing's happening, the second I try to transfer data.. it keeps disconnecting... and it's not Wi-Fi issue, as I tried it in different locations.

It was impossible to update the tracker's software, it started downloading it and... the tracker lost connection. I had to do it through Bluetooth which lasted... I'm not sure, I think close to half an hour.

Right now I usually get another message... Here's step by step what's happening:

1. I open Fitbit app on my Android cellphone. It tells me to use PC. But it also tells me in Wi-Fi Settings the tracker is connected.

2. I open Fitbit app on my PC. It connects with Wi-Fi and tells me the current status of the tracker.

3. I click the music icon...the system is spinning for a while... then shows me options, I click "Personal Music - set up now"

4. Displays a picture/message showing me to click "Transfer music" on the tracker, but before I get there, I get this message: "Device Busy - your device is bisy, please try it a few minutes later" and it kicks be back to start screen.

If I click "Transfer music" on my tracker it says, "Use your computer to start transferring... and "Looking for your watch"...

If I get to "set up now" first it shows me the same message, Device Busy.

Restarting the tracker didn't help, it's still "busy"... doing who knows what 🙂

Or I'm getting "No music Loaded" and Wi-Fi disconnects.

Or the screenshot above... lasts forever.

Please advise!

What do you mean by saying, "I'll be around if further assistance is needed." ?? Apparently nothing.

I still haven't figured out how to make the transfer work, by the way, but if others have the problems, I think it has something to do with the phone. I have HUAWEI Y9 Prime 2019 and I think its bluetooth and wifi connections are sometimes unstable. For example to sync my phone with my bluetooth digital scale it works 100% only right after restarting.

Regardless, perhaps Google will shake it up a bit as they bought Fitbit yesterday.
