Unable to get Music Control to work. (Samsung Galaxy S9+)

Versa, Galaxy S9+, I've got music controls to work once (no idea how) and never since. I'm connected to my phone, the Versa just says to start playing music on the phone - well, when I do, nothing happens. Every guide I find on this site tells me how to get to the point I'm at basically (pair with classic, change source, etc) and nothing about what to do when any of that doesn't work.

EDIT: turns out that it's definitely connected and everything as I can use the buttons on the Versa to change the volume - but I get no track info or controls whatsoever.

Hello @Spidergoat, thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. Smiley Happy

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for sharing your experience with us. I would also like to thank you for letting us know the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far. At this moment, if you'd like to use Music Control with your phone, I would like to suggest you to try the following:

1. Start playing music on your phone.

2. Press down the left button on your Versa for 2 seconds.

3. On the next screen, swipe right to bring out music control

4. In here tap on the ellipsis (...) button on the bottom left corner.

5. Select phone as source:

6. Then, press the left button again, you will be able to see Music Control on the Versa's screen:

If the controls on the Versa screen are not working when you tap on them, please restart your Versa by pressing and holding the Back and Select buttons (left and bottom right) until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen and try again.

I hope this can be helpful, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply.

I mean, no, it's not helpful, you've given me the exact same instructions
as everywhere else on this site that don't work. I'm looking at a screen
that says "Start playing music on your phone", except that it's already
playing and if I press the physical buttons on the Versa the volume changes
- it's not that I can't connect, clearly I can - the problem is the watch
doesn't show the track name or any of that stuff, except once in a blue
moon when it works for no obvious reason.
