Unable to pair wireless earbuds to Fitbit Versa

Fitbit Versa will find my JBL FREE Bluetooth wireless earbuds, however when I follow both manufacturers directions to pair them I only ever get a big red X with connection failed! Had absolutely no problem pairing my beats so what is wrong with the JBL FREE?

Hello @ACNewton have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. 

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for sharing your experience with us. At this moment, before you try to pair your earbuds again, I would like to ask you to perform these steps:

  1. Restart your Versa by pressing and holding the Back and Select buttons (left and bottom right) until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen.
  2. If your earbuds have been paired with a phone, removed them from the phone's Bluetooth Settings. 
  3. Restart your earbuds according to the manufacturer instructions. 
  4. Try to pair them again with the Versa, making sure there are no other Bluetooth devices around. 

Give these steps a try and in case you need anything else, please feel free to reply.

my JBL earbuds wont pair either. I have restarted my versa and earbuds.  I've turned off all other bluetooth devices around and still nothing. My versa either says problem with connection or it just spins forever and says pairing but it never does. Please help.

I'm experiencing the same issue with my JBL buds not making a connection. They show up on my Fitbit Versa, but the connection attempt just continues loading without being successful. Could you provide some more insight with what the issue could be, or alternative attempts to resolve. I've had no issue connecting the headphones to my phone.

No, I had no resolution to this query. I had since moved on to a much cheaper pair of earbuds which had no issues with connecting.
