Unable to play tracks from Spotify on Fitbit

I'm trying to control Spotify from my Fitbit, so I can play any of the tracks I currently have in my Spotify Premium account. However, while I'm able to log into Spotify and have connected it to earphones via Bluetooth, I'm not getting any tracks displayed on the screen.

Steps I've taken:

1. I swipe right and select Spotify, then wait for it to load

2. On the "Connect to a Device" screen, I select my mobile phone

3. I then get a play button, back and forward buttons, and an option to swipe down to either my library or playlists. I don't see any track selected.

4. I select any track - I'm expecting it to show on the previous screen (step 3), and for it to be playing through my earphones.

5. Instead - I'm getting a blank area where no selected track is displayed; I can tap on one to select it, but it doesn't change this blank area at all.

Anyone any ideas please? I've tried restarting - I've also checked that I have Android 10 or above (I have 11 installed), and my phone is not one of the ones that has known compatibility issues. I do have around 7,500 tracks (some available offline, not all) - is this number of tracks an issue, or do I need to select one which is known to be available offline?

Hi @alibby251 - there is an alternative which may be better and that is to use the Fitbit Music Controls - double press the button.

With that you can control the music playing on your phone and also adjust the volume without leaving the clock face or app you are currently using.

Thanks for this - I've tried double-pressing the buttons, and do get music controls; I can switch between my ear phones and mobile. However, when I double press the buttons to get the player, I get "Not Provided" and "unknown" displayed in the centre. I'm still not able to display any selected track or play it. Any ideas?

@alibby251- make sure the Bluetooth - Versa 3 controls is turned on, and in the Fitbit App, click On-Wrist calls and ensure it says done. It may help.

Of course Spotify needs to be started on the phone, but also try with any other phone music to check it works with the phone inbuilt music.

I've checked as you've described, but I'm not sure it's helped, unfortunately? I think I've managed to get Bluetooth reenabled, but when I come to select a track or album, I still don't get anything showing or playing (it shows the same empty space as before).

@alibby251  - it may be specific to your phone, though it's worth trying a phone and watch restart.

After syncing the watch do a full Shutdown from the watch Settings menu. Wait at least 10 seconds before placing on the charger to restart it and charge it and sync and try again.

Unfortunately a phone restart hasn't helped either - I actually had it off for a lot longer than 10secs! It's still allowing me to select one of my tracks, or something like the Daily Play lists, but when selecting them, it's still not showing anything in the main play window. Any more ideas please?
