I have stopped receiving low battery warnings for my Fitbit versa. In the app, I have the push notifications set to ON. I have restarted the watch several times, as suggested elsewhere. (I even shut it down every night to conserve power.) Still not getting notifications. I even checked the settings by logging in to Fitbit.com, and it is set correctly. This is quite frustrating when the watch dies in the middle of the day without warning. I tried turning the email notifications on for a bit, but that didn’t work either.
The watch is syncing on a regular basis, with my iPhone SE. The app and iOS are up to date.
I ended up having to purchase a second charger to keep at work just in case.
Is there an app that can be installed on the watch that will give low battery warnings?

Thanks for the suggestions, Marrrmaduke. I do have a clock face that shows battery. It’s not very accurate. I have seen the battery symbol appear when the battery is low. Unfortunately if this happens while on the way to work in the morning, the watch dies before I get home in the evening. However, having bought the extra charger, that should fix that.
Last time that happened I put the screen brightness on dim, which helped stretch it out.

@CrysFit I know you checked the settings on fitbit.com but perhaps double check the settings under Account in the Fitbit mobile app?

Hi Marrrmaduke,
The settings in the app are correct. Interestingly I did find an email notification in my spam. No push notifications though. I have since turned the email off, as I’ll only see it if I happen to be checking my email (I don’t have push notifications on my email).
I do get push notifications for Step Goal Milestones, new badges, etc.
Thanks for helping me out. I do appreciate it.

@CrysFit something has just occurred to me. Which Android OS are you running? Go to Settings on your phone > Notifications, scroll down to Fitbit and make sure that notification for low battery is ON and set to HIGH.
ETA: Sorry, just noticed you're using iPhone.

That’s okay. Good suggestion though. iPhone has a similar setting, but just fit the app. I checked it anyway & it was on.

@CrysFit I must admit this baffles me... 😐 The only thing I can recommend at this point is to factory reset both Fitbit and iPhone as we do not know where the problem persists.. But that's a hassle...

@Marrrmaduke Well, that makes two of us. Thanks so much for all your suggestions. I do really appreciate it. I'll continue with my workaround of having a charger at work for now & try to keep an eye on the battery level myself. I might try a factory reset, if I get sick of it. You're right though, it is a bit of a hassle.
Thanks again

Hello @CrysFit, I hope you're doing well, it's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community. Thanks so much for all your help @Marrrmaduke, I hope you're doing well
@CrysFit, thanks for bringing this to my attention and for letting us know the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far. Please note that in order for the Fitbit app detects the level of your battery it will need to sync first. With that said, I would like to suggest you to enable All-day Sync in the Fitbit app so your Versa can maintain a constant communication with the app even when the phone is locked, this will make the watch sync constantly during the day, prompting the notifications to show up.
Don't worry, it has been verified that All-day Sync will not affect the battery on your Versa or your phone. To enable this feature go to Account > Versa and scroll down until you see the All-day Sync feature, then enable it and manually sync your watch one more time. Remember to keep the app running in the background as well.
I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep me posted, I'll be waiting to hear from you.

@CrysFit I would also check always connected option.

Thanks very much for your advice @MarcoGFitbi, my All-day sync option is on, and always has been.
I wonder though, sometimes at work I am unavoidably out of range of my phone. Perhaps if I am out of range when the battery drops to a point low enough for an alert, it won’t send an alert?

@CrysFit it still should pop up next time it syncs.

@CrysFit though, I noticed that once my battery gets low (25%) quite often my Fitbit will stop syncing. You wouldn't recieve the notification then. Sometimes I have to restart Fitbit to force it to connect to Bluetooth again when battery is low. It's like it's dropping the connection.

@Marrrmaduke Perhaps that’s it! Makes sense

@CrysFit keep an eye on it. Once the battery is low and no battery notification is coming, try to test other notifications. Perhaps text yourself to see if you receive the notification on your versa. If the connection dropped, turn off and on Bluetooth on your mobile and restart versa. Sync with the Fitbit mobile app and watch for notification.

@Marrrmaduke I let it run down to 12%. I got no notification, but I continued to receive text messages and calendar updates. Although when I went to check the app it told me to hang on while it updated. I updated a few days ago, but hadn't opened the app yet, so that may have been a factor. It's a pity you can't see notifications within the app anymore, otherwise I could check if it was sent but I somehow missed it.

@CrysFit Arrghhhhhhhh!!! 😡 It looks to me more and more like software glitch. I'm curious, is Versa your first Fitbit? When did you get it? I'm trying to figure out if by any chance you installed Fitbit mobile app recently. To be honest, each update has been a mess. Devices don't sync, steps or calories don't show, notifications don't pop, etc. I, myself, downgraded the latest version of Fitbit app. Just check the reviews of recent update... Nightmare... Honestly, I had issues before, but last 2 or 3 updates were painful... Very painful. I really think it's the app itself. Ugh!
