@Robertahill Next step would be to try a different messaging app. For example, Google messages. You will need to set it as a default app on your phone and change the notifications settings for Versa in the Fitbit mobile app.

@Robertahill Welcome to the forum! If you have issues with the notifications, please do the following:

  1. Turn OFF the Notifications in your Fitbit mobile app and on your Versa, reboot your phone and Versa, and turn the notifications back ON on both devices.
  2. Make sure the notifications are ON on your Versa. Press and hold the left button to access quick menu. Turn the notifications to ON.
  3. In the Fitbit mobile app, make sure you enabled the notifications and that Fitbit notification service is enabled in your phone settings. It needs to be ON.
  4. If your phone is in DND or silent mode, make sure Always vibrate option is enabled in your Fitbit mobile app. Also, it's always a good idea to toggle on/off notifications in the Fitbit mobile app with sync in-between.
  5. Make sure that any app you would like to receive notifications for on your Versa has the push notifications priority set to at least HIGH (this can be done in the Android settings>Notifications). Please see my post here for more info.
  6. Also, please make sure Fitbit mobile app is not being optimized by Android (Android settings>Battery>Optimization>Fitbit needs to be marked as not optimized).

As per text notifications and calls on Samsung. Make sure that Preview of the message is enabled - go to your messaging app settings, and enable Preview on the screen. By default, Samsung phones have it disabled, which means message can't be seen on the phone's screen and Versa cannot read it.

I had purchased my Fitbit Versa special edition the other day I have been using the Samsung default text message on the phone. I'm afraid to use my Verizon Text message app. Is there any known issues with doing this? I do not want to mess anything up. To be honest I don't have the greatest patience.

Any assistance will be appreciated.
