Unable to set up my Versa

I cannot get my Versa to setup. I can get to the add new device but when I hit Versa it takes me back to my account setting screen and does not prompt me to add the versa

@LauraJean13 Welcome! It's nice to have you on board! Make sure that you have your Fitbit app up to date then restart your computer or phone and retry the setup process@NellyG link should help if you are still having issues.

I just had this issue today but I uninstalled my app and reinstalled it.  Also make sure both of the location settings are turned on.  Once i did this i was able to set up my Versa.

Same issue, same resolution.  I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling Fitbit app.

Go to the play store and refresh the fitbit app to update it. Then you should be able to connect your versa

Thank you. I just uninstalled then reinstalled Fitbit app.  It worked!

I can get the phone app to show Versa as an option, and when it starts to setup, it asks for my Fitbit account. I enter my email and password, and it tells me my email is already being used. Well, of course it is, I have a Fitbit account from a different device. So, from my computer I go into my Fitbit account (with the same password I just tried from the phone), and delete the old device. Try again. Same result. email already in use. So, I have a pretty Versa on my desk that just tells me to install the Fitbit app. 

 

Any thoughts?

Are you signed into the app before you start the setup process?

Thank you for your response.  Yes, I was signed into the app.  I solved my problem by uninstalling and reinstalling the app.  Everything works fine now. Kara

Try uninstalling the app, then reinstall. It worked for me. Good luck!

@SDKate @0133 Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here! Sorry for the delay in my response.

 

@SDKate hopefully you have already setup your Versa. The issue you describe happens when you select Join Fitbit when you have already created your account. In this case you just simply need to select Login, enter your information and then tap the top right button select Setup a Device and it will guide you through the process. I share this as it may help other members in the same situation.

 

@0133 were you able to setup your Versa with your phone? Please also try these suggestions if you are using a phone for the setup.

Same problem here! I tried going to set up device, and I got no set up process at all! I got my Versa about a week ago, trying to sync it to a Kindle Fire, downloaded the app, and I already have an account, the Kindle doesn't sync with the Versa!

I am having an issue with getting the Versa set back up on the app. I had to take the device off my account and now trying to add it back. My versa was not reading heart rates, so wanted to retry setting it. Now when I try to add the Versa back. It lets me go through prompts and when it finds it, it says connecting to tracker and it won't connect. Its been like this for now 45 minutes. I have re-installed the app. Restarted the phone. Nothing is working. Any ideas? Its connected to wifi and Fitbit is near and on charger. HELP.
