Unable to update firmware after factory reset

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

We've had this for ONE week. It quit working on day 7. Scrolling up was possible, but not right-left anymore. We did a factory reset. It worked for 2 minutes, then stopped again. Then tried to update it, but message on face says Data not cleared SYnc and try again. But face is frozen. Won't do anything. Very frustrated. How do we get it to work?

Hi @EMTButler, welcome to the Community Forums!

First, I'd like to appreciate your effort and patience troubleshooting your device prior to posting, I totally understand how frustrating this matter can be for you and even more if you only had your Fitbit for a week. I'd like to let you know that the error message you're receiving is because the firmware update of your device wasn't successfully completed after a factory reset. Keep in mind that this is why we do not recommend our users to perform a factory reset without being instructed.

That being said, I recommend you to learn more about how to update the firmware version of your Fitbit device with the information that's specified on this help article. Then, please move forward to the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: Why can't I update my Fitbit device? and let me know how it goes.

Please keep me posted and let me know if you have any additional questions.
