Unable to update firmware version

Hey my versa lite said on Saturday it needed to update but it just won’t work. It says I can’t use it till it’s updated but it just keeps freezing. I’ve uninstalled the app, charged the Fitbit. Nothing works.

It still won’t work. I’ve tried following all the steps but nothing has helped.

Thanks for your reply @Kdpy47, my apologies for the delayed reply.

 

I appreciate your time troubleshooting this situation with me. Since the steps that were shared on my previous post didn't resolve your concern, please make sure that there's no other Bluetooth device connected to your phone or nearby. (Headphones, keyboards, etc.) and follow the below steps, some of them were already tried but the specific order is really important:

 

  1. Restart your Versa Lite.
  2. Please on the phone, go to Settings > Bluetooth, and remove all the connections that exist with the device. (Forget device, ignore or unpair depending on the version of the operating system of the phone).
  3. Turn off the Bluetooth and restart the phone. (Switch off and on again).
  4. When the phone is back on, turn the Bluetooth on again but do not attempt to connect to the Fitbit from here.
  5. Go on the app and try setting up the Versa Lite as a new device.
  6. Once the setup is completed, the firmware update should initiate automatically.

I’ve tried the things that you’ve suggested, I have the same problems as them and they didn’t fix my problem

Still did not work. Says 100% updated but never changed the screen on the
Fitbit and what’s data not synced.

I have the same problem. My watch won’t update send just has the red X on the screen

I have the same issue. It stops the update, then I get the Red Cross and then comes up telling me to Start download the app!! I have tried loads to update and it won’t. I have follows every instruction there is and I can’t get it to work. I have now sent Fitbit help an email as I only got the watch at Christmas time.
