Hey guys, since the last Firmware-Update 35.72.1.19 my Versa 2 is just broken. The display stays black most of the time, forcefully restarting it by pressing the power button for 15 seconds only leads me to this https://imgur.com/a/shu1wqK . The watch still vibrates when pressing the power button and even my alarms still made it vibrate, there's no image on the display though. The few times I had the display light up I used them to factory reset my watch, problem still persists. The watch also still syncs with my phone app but also seems to drain a lot more battery than before, now it's on half battery after just 3 hours witch is VERY unusual.
Would appreciate a fix to come out soon.

Hello trafalgarryuk.
Mine has done this too. I've tried reinstalling the app but it hasn't helped. Been thinking of binning it and getting something more reliable. It was great until the latest update 😢

Yup, I never had issues with my watch before this update, too. I hope they're working on a fix to come out asap, highly sucks that the watch is now totally useless for the amount of money it costs.

I have exactly the same problem. Did you get any help for this problem yet?

Unfortunately no. If I get to find a solution on my own I will let you know, but I feel like I tried everything and the problem keeps recurring so we'll have to wait for tech-support from Fitbit.

I contacted customer support last week and was advised to reinstall the fitbit app and restart fitbit versa 2. I did this but it hasn't made much difference. Mine does not return to clock face after going on other screens. Feel hopeless and haven't had time to contact customer support again!!

I just had a live chat with customer support and they couldn't help me either, said my issue will be forwarded to another team that will contact me soon via e-mail. And unfortunately it's not possible to simply install an older firmware version (which literally would be the simplest solution so we could at least use our watches until a real fix is released but whatever). Imma keep you updated.

I just got contacted by fitbit and they said they will help me with warranty. I don't need or want warranty, I need a software fix. Wtf is this

After writing Fitbit that I don't want to discuss with them about my watches warranty but that I merely need a software update to fix my issue, they simply sent me a link to a replacement that I can order. I mean it's nice of them to offer me a replacement and I gladly took it, but I still wish that for users who do not have warranty left on their watch they would release an update fix to this.

I got the same reply and guess what? The super expert team give you the same trouble shooting steps that don't work which you have tried already. There's a lot of people on this forum who are having issues.

Good for you mine is out of warranty and they want to sell me another one

Same. What kind of solution is it to break something en then let the customer buy another one with only a 35% discount

Same here, my wife never updated her Fitbit until recently because of a sync issue. Now her battery doesn't even last a day. Fitbit won't fix it because it's out of warranty. Giving a discount doesn't solve the problem. Never had any problems before this update.
