Updating firmware per email 2/18/25

I received an email telling me that I could update my Fitbit versa 3 yesterday. Per the email this update was to address a possible battery overheating problem. I followed the directions per the email and never received any thing that would allow me to update my watch. What do I do?

Thank you for your question about how to download the newest firmware version of the Versa 3. 

Please check which firmware version your Versa 3 has: 

  • In the Fitbit app, tap the Today tab Devices your device image. The firmware version number appears under your device's name.
  • It should appear as "128.6.17"

In case your Versa 3 still doesn't have this version, I recommend you try to restart your device and follow the instructions described in this article: Why can't I update my Fitbit device?
