I bought my Versa 2 for, among other things, the ability to control Spotify while I'm at the gym, rather than having to dig my phone out of my pocket every time I want to change a song. My phone (LG V20) won't let me connect to both the headphones and the Versa 2 (unless I set one for calls and one for media), so I connected the bluetooth headphones to the Versa 2. I am able to successfully connect the Versa 2 to my phone and control Spotify, and I'm able to successfully connect my bluetooth headphones to my Versa 2, but I can only hear music from the music app, not Spotify. All I want to do is listen to Spotify on my bluetooth headphones and be able to switch the songs from my watch while I'm on the treadmill. Is this not possible?

A few thoughts....
1) I went to Spotify using my computer (Mac Book Pro) and it had additional information. It showed me that the premium account only allows 5 devices to be connected. I removed a device and Spotify started working.
2) My phone (GalaxyS9) shows that my headphones are connected and my Versa 2 is not connected, so this may be normal. However, I'm still controlling my Spotify with the Versa 2 and I can hear it just fine. Try turning up the media volume on the actual phone. I read somewhere that you cannot control volume with the Versa 2, so if the volume is down on the phone, you won't hear it using the Versa 2.
