I activated my Versa at Christmas at my Mom's house on windows 10. While I am at my home I do not use it when I sleep because it can't record anyway and would find it distracting and uncomfortable. When visiting mom every weekend it shows my activity level but once I get home it hasn't recorded it to the permanent record.
I read it is phone free music. Does this mean I can use it this way with computer in another place after downloading? Where can I download from?
Should I get a phone? My finances are limited. Would I need a data plan or is my wifi enough?

I'm not sure what link your looking at,
As for syncing to your account, this will be with the account associated with your email address which has a user name of Gina R.
You have started that you do not have any way of syncing your tracker at home but will use your minds computer.
This will work and you will use the account that you setup the tracker to.
Then at home you will want to log into the same account on the Chromebook.

While at Mom's house, the tracker should sync your data to your Fitbit account @Mughal, going to www.fitbit.com and logging in will confirm. AfterwhicAf any browser will show your dates.
The tracker only has storage for 7 days of detail data.

"Mughal " is just my name here on question/answer. What account would it sync to then? Could U please explain in more detail . U seem to be saying that it would automatically do this, is that correct? I should say that the activity from Dec. 22 to Dec 25 is permanent but that Dec. 25 took a few days to appear. Does that indicate something wrong ? Do I just have to go to www.fitbit.com while active near the windows 10 computer and then create Mughal as @Mughal? Thanks in advance for your reply to this confused question.

Stop tire not using the Charge 3 to record your walk, but are using the Fitbit App on some time off phone.
Simple it apparently is the name your choose when creating your Fitbit Account.
Click on the name @Mughal, then click on the view Profile. I was wondering how long you have had a Fitbit account. You asked if you should create an account to sync. Just pointing out that you will want to sync through the same account that the tracker was setup with.

I have a VERSA. Just got it at Christmas. The info promoting it says "wireless sync" and that it will "sync automatically". I have to find out how a Chromebook takes the app. My mom's computer is a windows 10.
chromebook must be problem
this is what they say about versa
"Sync stats wirelessly & automatically to computers and 200+ leading iOS, Android and Windows devices."

Yes Chromebook runs a browser based operating system and therefore is unable to communicate with a Bluetooth connected device.

If you have wifi in your house, and a friend with a phone they do not use anymore that you can have, the Fitbit app will work with the phone connected too the wifi. The phone does not need to be in service.
