VERSA 1 Stuck on logo/ Black screen/ Not charging

Hi! I have a Fitbit Versa which I purchased in May 2018. I haven't used my Versa 1 in months (since Sept.) as I was busy with relocating and settling down. Here's what happened, I know it's battery died so I plugged it to the charger. Left there for a bit and when I came back, saw that it was stuck at logo. I checked the forums on what to do, I pressed the left and lower right button and waited but nothing happened.

I tried to do the troubleshooting tips I read here on the forum but it still doesn't work:

1. Factory reset

2. Holding the Left and Lower right button

3. Cleaning the charging cable and the device

4. Used different USB ports and wall charger

5. Leaving it on charge for at least 30 minutes

I went on chat support to ask for assistance. He gave me the same troubleshooting tips but still, nothing happened. Since the issue cannot be resolved, he said that he'll forward it to the team and that I will receive an e-mail from them. True enough after few moments, I received an e-mail from the same person saying that since it's out of warranty, they could not provide a replacement. Fine with me. I then asked if there's a repair center I can bring my device to. He said that they don't have but it's a great suggestion.

I mean, come on. Based on the few topics here on the forum, Versa has been having the same issue over and over again, yet until now they couldn't come up with a better solution or after service. Do they expect us to dispose the device if it displays some issues and unfortunately it is out of warranty? Very disappointed.

Hello @missrhiezel

Welcome to the forum. I'm sorry to hear you have an issue with your Versa. The suggestion to have a repair center is interesting, but my guess is it would cost more to repair a Versa than it does to replace it. The tiny computer chip and bits would be difficult to work on and likely take a specialized skill set. Still interesting idea if there is someone that has opened up their Fitbit and been able to repair it.
