VERSA 3 and hourly steps

I switched from a Charge 4, which I like, to a Versa 3.  I like the watch but not that I have to guess or fiddle around with how many steps I have left to go per hour.  In my setting I need to know how many steps I require with a glance and cannot wait to be reminded at the 50 minutes mark.  I am asking Fitbit to offer a free legacy time face for Versa 3 that displays remaining steps because right now I am very unhappy.

@Stryker13   There is a clock face called SimpleClockDuo that is supposed to give you that information.  It is a third party clock, but it is free.  The Versa 3 has MANY more clock face options than the Charge 4, because third party clock faces are available.  You can search the clocks by doing the following.  Tap on your profile picture > Versa 3 > Clocks > toggle to All Clocks > put hourly steps in the search field.

I want to point out that the Versa 3 and Sense have widgets that you can see when you swipe up.  They are customizable.  Your Hourly Activity is in the Advanced Stats group.  I use the Hourly Activity widget because I prefer a different clock face.

Have Widgeted and looked at suggested watch face but not for me so will
keep looking. Fitbit designers can solve this with programmers. If not I
will return the watch for refund and go back to Charge 4. Am missing hours
daily not knowing hourly steps remaining and being occupied when the prompt
vibrates. Thanks for the help, however.

Thank you I found the hourly app, thanks to your post.

I agree with you 100%. I had the versa and that showed them on the clock face. Now I have the Versa 3 and I have to search to find how many and I miss them too when I am doing something. I tried other clock faces but they are so small I can't see them without reading glasses which I do not have on me all the time. So that didn't work, I will keep searching to see if I can find the right clock face, but hoping Fitbit will fix this.

Hi @rparks - I use SimpleClockPro which can show you on the watch how many steps done so far this hour, or left to do, on the main face along with reminders to move and also a summary of steps done for all hours in the day, along with many other features, like an addon timer which remembers your last timer(s).

You might like to try it has both analog and digital display.

I wish they would. I am typically missing one hour a day even on strong
vibration. Not the only one in the family this is happening to with Versa
3.

I have been searching all day to find where the heck it is or how to get it. No help at all. I do the same thing, I end up missing an hour, frustrating to say the least.

I dont think mine is counting steps properly, who does it count steps, does your arm have to be swinging with your legs, like carrying something or pushing shopping cart?

Hi @Kasfit - there does have to be movement. Pushing a shopping cart does not count as movement even if your legs are moving.

If you select dominant arm there is some filtering of movements so use non dominant in preference if you want to detect the most steps but it won't change much when pushing a shopping cart and there is no specific exercise for shopping.

Can u pin your fitbit to your leg, when not using your arms? Can your stride length impact your steps, like walking in house, smaller steps than outside?

Exercise choices, is there a way to make more user friendly, I forget to go there  select, turning on and off. On and then deciding what exercise to pick, low impact chair exercise, wall push ups, resistance bands, when you are moving legs, but not arms. Any help appreciated.

When I first got my first fitbit I realized that when shopping with a cart, it doesn't or barely records any steps. Went into a Costco & it was one of those days that I probably went down 90% of the aisles looking for something! My total steps were around 20 and I'm like no way!  That was when I found out about the hand movement thingy!  So now if I think about it & its one of those days I want the steps I take off my watch and put it in my left pants pocket.  Don't know how accurate it is, but it seems that most of my steps in the store are usually counted.. .

I have the Floral Clockface by Amy & it shows me how many steps I have each hour, even after I have finished my step goal for the day.

Thank you so much, I will try to find it, I would like one that is big enough to see without glasses, but want the steps on there too. I will do some more searching. I appreciate your help.

Hi @rparks - SimpleClockPro is free and looks like this, hourly steps is next to battery if you want big enough to read.
