Versa 2 (1 yr old) keeps asking me to pair everytime I sync... the battery dies at 3 days

Hello all,

My Versa 2 started requiring a pairing every time I synced it a week ago, and since then the battery always dies after 3 days (before it would last just over 7 days).

What is it in my settings that is malfunctioning and requiring this?

As always, thanks everyone!

Hi @Erich777 - if you got the new Fitbit App this may partially be the cause, as it has syncing problems which will adversely affect battery life.

Even so try Logout of the Fitbit App and swipe off the active window and in Android clear the storage cache and force stop it and then restart the phone.

Make sure there are no other devices running the Fitbit App switched on or other watches switched on.

Remove your watch from the phone's Bluetooth, as you will make a new one in the next steps.

Restart the watch by holding the button for 10 seconds till it vibrates and the logo appears and wait for it to start.

Login and wait for any pair, link or Fixit prompts and sync. If necessary run the set-up in the Fitbit App and replace.

@Erich777 I feel your pain. Same thing happened to me earlier this year after I installed an iOS update & subsequent Fitbit App date. The only way I could get it to sync was to forget device in BT & re-pair it every single time. Stayed that way many wks until next iOS & Fitbit App update. Hopefully, what @guy  suggests will help.
As far as battery life goes, I only get about 3 days from mine.

Thanks Guy,

I've tried that, so we'll see what happens.  I have a feeling that I might have fallen into Nancy's camp now, but fingers crossed!!

Thank you for that Nancy!

I've given it a shot; I think, so will just have to wait and see now.

@Erich777 Good luck! 🤞 Here’s a link you can check for outages & problems:
https://www.fitbitstatus.com/

Though it doesn’t indicate outages or probs today, I was unable to sync from early this aftrn until about 30 mins ago. Finally got it to work after rebooting my iPhone.

Thanks for that Nancy!  I feel like I responded to this already... but I do have news: I'm no longer getting the prompts to pair with my phone, AND my charge lasts a week again!  I'm in an intense nursing program, so I only get to the gym once a week, though. 😉
