Versa 2 Alarm Goes off at Midnight

ANSWERED

I read the posts regarding this issue, and mine is definitely an alarm and not related to my goals.  The screen says "Look Alive" and goes off again in 9 minutes if not dismissed.  I reset the Versa 2 to factory settings and that didn't help.  I have reset it back to factory settings, removed and reinstalled it in the app.  That worked for one week and it went off this morning again.  I have no alarms set what so ever at this time.

I’m so glad I found this post because I have been having the same problems. No alarms whatsoever saved and my Fitbit alarm goes off at 6:20am every morning. I have had to stop wearing it to bed but can hear it vibrating on the bedside table. I just figured out how to fix it! I held the left button (for alexa) and when I did a tiny icon appeared in the upper right corner that looks like a clock face. When I clicked on that it took me to a screen that said alexa had a 6:20am alarm set every day! I must have asked her for an alarm  at some point and forgot or maybe it was a glitch, but I turned it off! I also held the button and said “cancel all alarms” just to make sure, and she said “canceling all alarms”. Hopefully this helps you too, I have been so frustrated.

Hello and welcome to the Fitbit Community @giff57

This alarm is quite odd an I’ve never heard of it. I did look around and found this thread that may help you resolve this issue: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Ionic/Look-Alive-what-is-this-notification-on-Ionic-and-how-does-one...

😃 Please let me know if this does indeed resolve your issue. If it does indeed answer your question could you please tap “choose as best answer” box just under my post? Doing this really helps other individuals who come to this Fitbit Community looking for answers to questions similar to your own. I’d really appreciate it!

No it didn’t help. I already knew that it was an alarm. The post did not offer a solution to the alarm going off at midnight. Thanks for trying

Hello again @giff57

I believe I may have found the answer here:

Tap alarm icon

This will bring up a list of any alarms that are set

It also might have a new alarm.

Tap on the alarm you want to alter change state or remove .

Tap the time to change

Tap on or off to turn on or off

Tap the day of the week you want the alarm to sound

Or scroll up and tap remove.

If that doesn’t resolve your issue look here:https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Versa-Smartwatches/How-to-turn-off-Look-Alive-notifications/td-p/386...

and here: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Versa-Smartwatches/How-to-stop-vibration-with-quot-Look-Alive-quot/t...

😉 Please come back and let me know if this helps

No. To be clear, I understand how to set and dismiss the alarms. When I
go to alarms, none are listed. That is why I reset it to factory settings
and did not set any alarms. When it reoccurred I thought maybe something
in the app was doing it. So I removed the device from the app and reset it
again. It was fine for a few days and then it began doing it again. It
still shows no alarms are set.

Thanks for trying.

Hello again @giff57

Im still hunting down an answer for you but in the meantime can you check your Fitbit App to make sure the Alarm is set on the Fitbit App and not on your Fitbit tracker. Here’s how:

  1. Tap the Today tab

     > tap your profile picture > Tap Versa 2.
  2. Scroll down and Tap Silent Alarms. Tap the alarm you want to delete > Delete Alarm > Delete Alarm.

Also please perform a restart on your a Versa 2 as well. You will not lose your data doing this. Look here to find the proper steps to restart: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1186

There is no way to set or delete alarms in the app. The only way to do it
is on the device. Your steps would work on my old flex 2. There is no
silent alarm to tap on the app.

I have restarted the device multiple times to know avail.

Hi @giff57 - you have an iPhone. Please check to see if you have any calendar alarms set on your phone. Ive learned - the hard way - that an all day event with an alarm will send the alert at midnight. And if you have fitbit notifications set up, that will trigger the alarm on your fitbit device.

I have calendar notifications turned off. That’s a good clue, I’ll pay attention to when this happens. Thanks!

So, this didn't solve the problem.  The alarm went off this morning and I had no calendar event today.  I am still looking for a solution. I purchase the Versa 2 for its sleep analysis, and the device is pretty useless if I cant get this fixed.

Thanks for letting us know, @giff57 - The other thing I can think of is this - do you have any alarms set on Alexa, which works with your Versa2?

Hello again @giff57

Can you please check your dashboard here online to ensure that there may be an alarm sitting in there that for what ever reason might not be showing on your Versa 2 or on your Fitbit App.

heres how:

  1. From the fitbit.com dashboard, click the gear icon

     > your device image.
  2. Under Silent Alarms, find the alarm you want to delete.
  3. Click the pencil icon next to the alarm > Delete Alarm.
  4. Click the Fitbit Connect icon

     > Sync Now.

The versa 2 has no alarm menu in either the app or the PC Dashboard. All
alarm management for the Versa 2 is on the device. I just looked to make
sure and there is no silent alarm to select

Hello again @giff57

Alright I’ll take one last stab at this because otherwise I have no idea as to why this alarm at midnight comes in. It occurred to me just now that I got a new phone recently and one of the apps preinstalled on my new phone was a “reminder App”. As I was setting up my phone this particular app keep trying to link up with other apps I was setting up. Do you have any type of “reminder app” that you may have inadvertently allowed access too and it still has the alarm in question still attached to it? It’s a far reach but I’m running out of ideas.

No I do not. I am in communication with Fitbit so we will see if they can figure it out.
