Versa 2, Alexa routines. Error "Unsupported Request"

HI EVERYONE,

Just wanted to see if anyone else is having this issue since the recent firmware update.

When I attempt to trigger Alexa and provide a routine command I get an error "Unsupported request"

The routine still runs, just annoying.  I'll wait to see if anyone else can confirm this and or provide a solution.

Thanks!

Try a Restart and do it several times if necessary and see if that helps.

I have restarted my fitbit, logged out of my amazon account on the fitbit app. Relogged into my amazon account on the fitbit app. Synced the app with my fitbit. Restarted everything multiple times. resynced. Still is not working

Mine's been doing this for months, glad it's not just me - exactly the same behaviour, routines actually run fine, just the watch says unsupported - very annoying.

This happens on any routines I've set up, regardless of skill, however using a skill directly works fine. Come on Fitbit, sort it out!!

Hello, I also faced the same problem. I have tried to restart my fitbit watch several times, logged in and out my amazon account, changed alexa language, also did factory reset but it didn't work. Then I logged out my amazon account again and logged in with my another account (mine is amazon.jp), and it works!

Ever since the last update its working fine now.  Thanks everyone for the feedback.

This is exactly what I’ve been experiencing. This is very frustrating.  Alexa doesn’t even work on my device anymore. Even saying a simple “HI” doesn’t work. I hope that someday this will be resolved.

Try the following:

- change the language for Alexa in the FitBit app to any language other than the currently used one

- use Alexa once and see if it responds

- change the language for Alexa in the FitBit app back to the desired one

- it should work now again

Strangely this resolved the issue for me. Hope it helps.

This still fails for me even after following these steps.

To be clear - directly controlling a device or group works fine, such as "turn hallway lights on" - no problem there. But calling a *routine* is where I get the unsupported error as in screenshots above, i.e. "TV Time" (turn on TV, turn off main lights, turn on ambient lights) - the routine actually executes correctly, but the watch returns the 'unsupported' error. Most frustrating.

Thanks for the tip. My alexa kept saying unsupported request, I changed it to Spanish, gave a command and then changed it back to English and it worked!

I'd been trying to fix this issue for weeks
