I usually use a Blaze as my day watch and Ionic for fitness as it looks too sporty for day to day. My Blaze has been missing time so I just bought a Versa 2. While adding it a new device it removes my Ionic. I have used fitbit since 2015 and always multiple devices. How do I get both my Ionic and my Versa on dashboard do I have to keep disconnecting and connecting different watches?

As you say, Fitbit does support multiple devices connected to an account.....but there are restrictions. Fitbit say:
"Note that you can't connect multiple devices that use the Fitbit App Gallery to one account. For Fitbit Charge 3, Fitbit Charge 4, Fitbit Ionic, Fitbit Inspire series, and Fitbit Versa series, only connect one of these devices to your account at a time."
