Versa 2: Can't install "Find My Phone" app

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi everyone

I can't seem to install the Find My Phone app on my Versa 2, even though I have all the latest updates on the device and the Fitbit app. I'm on Android. Any ideas?

Hi @Fionapotter, welcome to the Community Forums!

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, seems odd that you're unable to install this specific app on your Versa 2. To better assist you, can you please let me know if you receive an error while trying to do so? Or the app simply doesn't install on your device? Is this occurring with other apps or just with this one? If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to restart your Versa 2 and troubleshoot the Fitbit app with the following steps:

  1. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  2. Uninstall the app from your mobile device.
  3. Make sure that the Android version is up to date.
  4. Reboot your mobile device.
  5. Reinstall the Fitbit app.
  6. Login using your account credentials.

Looking forward to your reply.

Hey Ricardo,

I’m having the same issue and followed the steps above and it did not fix the problem.

Any other suggestions?

Best Answer

Hi I also have the same problem, I have followed the steps and I still can't install the 'find my phone' app. I press the install button and it flashes blue and doesn't respond.

Any other thoughts?

Hello, I am experiencing the same issue. Find my phone installation button does not seem active and i can't get the app for my versa 2.

Can you support?

Best Answer

This is happening to me too and the problem is the app is not recognising that there's more updates for the versa available. It says the app and the tracker are up to date but the tracker hasn't got the update on it that is required for the spo2 clock and find my phone.

So it would be helpful to know how to actually restart the versa 2 (will that delete data?).

Having the same problem. Followed the above steps, tried resetting the versa itself then following the above steps again & still can install spo2 or find my phone. The install button is white rather than pink & there's still no option to update the watches firmware on the app or through fitbit connect on my laptop. Very annoying

I have the same issue. I’m using iOS. There’s no update available, but in the Fitbit App Store there’s many apps that I can’t download. It has a notification to update first. The install button is disabled.

HI, given the number of "me Too" responses on this thread, is there going to be an update on the assistance provided back on 20/Oct/2020?

Seems the process isn't working so what is being done to rectify the issue please.

the FMP function is important and sold some people on the purcahse of the watch.

Thank you.

Hi Leanne. A couple of days into having the.new Versa 2 on, I had an update which solved the entire problem with unavailable apps.

Patience is the solution in this case.

It will work for you too. Give it a few days.

I left the app running on my phone for over 24 hours then it let me update
(no update option before that). After the update it was loaded on my
Fitbit. The same process worked for my husbands Fitbit too. Good luck!--

Same here. Versa 2 arrive today and can’t install FMP app. The install button is white and I’m being asked to update Versa 2 and iOS. Versa 2 updated at setup and nothing is available for iOS. Restarted Versa 2, force quit/deleted Fitbit app and restarted phone. Still no dice. This app was a selling feature and it’s frustrating it can’t be installed.

An update early this morning allowed the app to be installed! Yeah! It’s working well as long as I keep the Fitbit app running in the background.

Force an update on your Versa 2, it includes the app and should work when the Fitbit app is open on the phone.
