Hi all, I'm thinking about getting the new Versa but I have a question that I haven't been able to find an answer for. Does the Versa require a mobile signal and data connection for it to be able to connect to the phone's GPS? I like hiking in remote areas where the connection is frequently nonexistent, and from experience with my Charge 2 this doesn't help in terms of watch-phone connectivity.
Also, I've always had lots of trouble synching (Charge HR first, now Charge 2). Is this process any better with the new Versa?
Thanks!

@Chufina Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here! Sorry for the delay in my reply.
Let me help you with your GPS inquiry and syncing issues. You will need internet connection as it is required to sync your Fitbit device with your phone.
If you have any issues you can always try these suggestions. Also if you purchase your Versa 2 from the Fitbit store right now you will have until January 31st or 45 days (whichever is longer) to return your device so you can use it and see if you wish to keep it.
Let me know how it goes.

I understand that I need internet connection to sync, but why is it required for GPS tracking?? That makes the device useless in remote areas...
