Versa 2 GPS disconnects when iPhone screen locks

When I set my watch to exercise (walk or run) the gps connects fine but as soon as the iPhone screen closes the gps connection is lost / drops off. 

I had the same problem with my old Versa and fixed it - have no idea how I did it. 

Does anyone know how to fix this so that the watch and phone stay connected once the screen locks? Thanks

I have the same issue. When starting my exercise my Versa is looking for connection. It only connects when I have the Fitbit app opened. When I start my exercise and put my phone in my pocket the GPS connection gets lost again.

What release of your mobile app are you at? This was a known issue with the iOS app at release 3.24 and corrected at 3.25.

 

I currently have release 3.29 and my Versa 2 stays connected with a locked screen, as well as when the app is running in the background.

Just checked and I have the latest update of the Fitbit app on my iPhone. So unfortunately that is not the issue for me ☹️
