My Versa 2 and iPhone 12 is tracking my runs using GPS and showing perfect map legend, however the distance the app is showing is way off and can shift by 2km on longer distances
After initial advice I have followed all resetting procedures with no resolve. All software/firmware is latest.

Hi @richmix, it's great to see you in our Fitbit Community. Regarding the inaccurate distance issue that your Versa 2 has experienced, I appreciate the time spent trying to get it resolved before contacting our forums.
I'd like to share this help article, which explains how the GPS feature works on your Fitbit device and it also contains some troubleshooting steps at the bottom of the page for you to try.
After trying those steps, monitor your Versa 2 and see if it provides accurate GPS data.
Keep me posted on the outcome.

Hey
Doen all that, doesnt make any difference. There's a lot of people in the same boat and there is an inherant problem with your hardware and software
If I have tested three phones, more than four bits of software and each time, the Versa 2 on ios is so far out - just accept it's somethomg you need to fix

My husband and I both have Versa2 watches. We have 1 Pixel 3 and 1 Samsung Galaxy 21, and neither of our watches can get the distance right using the GPS. We'll go for a 3 mile hike (measured through another app) and his watch will say 4 miles and mine will say 2 miles, but the GPS map looks right on both. HOW freaking difficult would it be to report the GPS distance instead of using stride length? Stride length changes based on so many factors.. what's even the point of having the GPS functionality if you're not using it for distance tracking?? This has been a problem with fitbit for YEARS, how has it not been corrected?? And yes, we've done all the "troubleshooting" you guys offer. I guess if I can't even be hopeful for this simple upgrade, I can completely give up hope that you guys will ever add a pregnancy setting.

Thanks for not actually reading and undertanding what I have said!
You are now telling me (again) how to work my watch and phone?
Absolutely none of your "tips" are valid or actually work. I reluctantly bought the Versa 2 after my Blaze of many years finally died. I had NO issues at all with that watch.
Now you are prompted all the time to open settings and set Location to always ON which is ridiculous and a breach of privacy.
Please, please please, read all of the comments and accept there is an inherent issue with GPS tracking and your plastic "smart watches"
In the meantime, until I find an alternative brand, I'll reluctantly use my watch and just deduct 1-3km off every run or hike
Cheers
Maybe this is a ploy to push consumers toward your plastic watches with inbuilt GPS?

It's disgusting how many people have GPS issues and there is never any resolve or valid fix?
The whole purpose of their "smart" watches is to track and record your activity acurately. I was actually told in one of their responsesthat my brand new iPhone 12ProMax was to blame and thh GPS issue was linked to the phone? Couple with that I may have been in a forest or built up area?
Maybe the last time I used What3Words I should have said to my kids, "my brand new iphone GPS isnt very good so the location I send you could mean I might be anywhere within a 1km radius"
