My Varsa 2 is not registering Heart Rate and Sleep.
The rear light sensor is not working.
I have disabled heart rate and sleep
In settings rebooted the watch then turned the two functions back on again in settings and rebooted the watch again but still the rear light sensor is not working and it’s not registering Heart Rate or Sleep.

I’m posting an update to my experience. I worked with Fitbit help desk through October and November 2020 - eventually they recognised that the issue was real and agreed to replace the Fitbit Versa 2. They did this and it has worked fine until last week - it now has chronic battery use. I now need to charge once a day. Clearly something changed with the software - I’ve not changed anything.
Being honest - I doubt I’ll buy another Fitbit after this experience. I love the watch and the App dashboard - but it’s too unreliable. And it wasn’t a cheap purchase!

Mine is the same. No lights on the back and not recording any HR or Sleep. Tried resetting, deleting and restarting device. Nothing works. Also less than a year old. Very frustrated with this!
