Just wondering if any other healthcare workers lose steps due to pushing stretchers and wheelchairs? How did I get the steps to counts

Whenever you push something using a wrist worn tracker it will miss steps. When I shop using a shopping trolly I put my tracker in my pocket. It counts very well there. Of course you lose the heart rate monitoring and other features that rely on it being on your wrist. You cant 'make' a tracker count steps it doesnt feel.

So, it's not a bug of my watches? Thanks God...

When I checked the amount of steps in the end of the day, I thought the watches was broken. It was nearly the half of the overall steps. That day was pretty intense, so I was unpleasantly surprised. It's just me or someone finds it really weird that healthcare workers lose steps due to pushing stretchers and wheelchairs? I thought the technologies are advanced enough to fix such problems. What about home care workers, such as Cincinnati elderly care? Should they keep the tracker in pocket all the time? I don't get it...

This I think is a problem, as medicine has not reached a very high level of development to be able to replace this mechanism. I have some medical studies, I remember how we teach how to streamline work, so that the patient has as little to suffer. But the basic things should be known to each person, to provide first aid, or to act in times of extreme necessity. If you're interested look here. I don't think you'll regret it, it can always be useful. These all elements must be combined, since the treatment of the patient is much more important, than his walk through the treatment salons

Unfortunately, these estimates are completely wrong! I once tried another tracker in addition and the results were completely different.

Unfortunately, these estimates are completely wrong! I once tried another tracker in addition and the results were completely different. The fact that the employees are losing steps makes me angry, but it doesn't surprise me anymore... In general, I think that everyone should do their job. Elderly care should ideally be provided by specially trained caregivers, for example. I don't think it's a job that should be directly related to nurses, cause we have too many responsibilities on top of that. What's a covid crisis worth! I hope that someday the situation with the job obligations of nurses will change.
