Can someone please add indoor bike to choices of exercises? Not a spinning one but just regular indoor bike. Thank you

@JuanFitbit I searched the Community and stand by my opinion that any indoor cycling should be tracked with the Spinning shortcut. Even when the Charge 2 called it the Multi-sport mode, spinning was the recommended shortcut. This advice has come from fellow users, other members of the Community Council and other moderators. Even other cycling sites say that this is the correct choice.
The basic difference between a spin bike and an upright indoor bike is body position. The spin bike is more like a road bike. You are asked to pedal faster in your spin class. You heart rate will be higher and the calorie burn in calculated based on your effort.
@OrangeTwin @Bethie418 Please just use the spinning shortcut. If you are on a seat and your feet are in pedals, than this is the correct choice.

@OrangeTwin I have a different opinion than @JuanFitbit with respect to tracking your indoor bike. While there are differences between a spin bike and an indoor upright (or even indoor recumbent) bike, the exercise app uses a heart rate based algorithm to estimate your calorie burn. By all means, you should use the spin shortcut for any type of stationary bike.

I was really disappointed to find out that my new watch won’t track indoor recumbent bikes. I understand what you’re saying about the algorithm for calorie burn but isn’t a recumbent bike really slow compared to a spinning bike? I look forward to your answers thanks.

@Bethie418 @OrangeTwin @LZeeW , Thank you for your messages and feedback. Please be assure that your comments won't go unnoticed.
Just wanted to clear things with @LZeeW . Our friend OrangeTwin mentioned on the original post, that she wanted a recommendation that wasn't spinning. She wanted something more like biking, that's why I suggested to leave feature suggestion or check if there is any already proposed.
@Bethie418 Regarding your question the amount of calories burned. I don't have that info at this moment, but maybe another user can be of more help.
@OrangeTwin , If you posted a feature suggestion or found another one similar to your idea, you could share the link on this thread so other users can find it easily and vote for it.
See you around.

@LZeeW , Thank you for your reply and sharing your tips.
You might be right that Spinning could be a good choice to use.
I just wanted to to provide our friend with more info so that they can make the best choice according to what they are looking for.
Please keep sharing your tips and insights.
