Versa 2 Loses Connection to iPhone during a run

I have a Versa 2 and an iPhone 8 plus.  I will chose Activities and Run on my Versa 2.  I wait for the Versa 2 to say it is connected to my iPhone then start my run.  Some time during the run, the Versa suddenly goes back into Connecting... mode to try to reconnect to my iPhone.  I have to Pause the run and pull my phone out and open the Fitbit app (which is running) and start a sync.  Then my Versa will reconnect.  I lose all track data (on the map) up until the point that I reconnect my Versa.

This happens intermittently.  I have uninstalled / reinstalled the Fitbit app on my phone and I have restarted my Versa.

The only other bluetooth device with me is my headphones (Bose Soundsports).

Fitbit Versa 2 Version 70.8.0

Fitbit App Version 3.27 (984)

Are you using the headphones connected to the watch as well? I know from past experiences using heart rate chest straps that bluetooth connection that use BLE (I assume these watch's use low powered bluetooth) that only 1 simultaneous connection can be transferring data at a time. That's why some chest straps also offer ANT+ connections which will allow you to transfer your heart rate data to multiple devices as once. Maybe its dropping if you are indeed using your headphones connected to the watch.

My headphones are paired with my iPhone not the Versa 2
